AGRIVENTURE EMABENZ SILVER is a highly effective, broad-spectrum insecticide and acaricide used primarily to control caterpillars, bollworms, leaf folders, and thrips. Formulated as an Emulsifiable Concentrate, it works through both contact and stomach action, paralyzing pests and causing them to stop feeding within hours.

• Thrips & Mites: Occasionally utilized to suppress thrips and spider mites.

Mode of entry:

• Contact & Stomach Action: It acts both by touching the insect and when the insect ingests treated foliage.
• Translaminar Movement: The EC (Emulsifiable Concentrate) formulation gives it strong translaminar activity. It rapidly penetrates the leaf tissue, allowing it to control pests hiding on the undersides of leaves.

Mode of action:

• Nerve Disruption: The active ingredient binds to specific receptors (glutamate-gated and GABA-gated chloride channels) in the insect's nerve and muscle cells.
• Ion Influx: This binding triggers an irreversible influx of chloride ions, leading to hyperpolarization of the nerve membrane.
• Paralysis: The insect experiences continuous nerve signal disruption, causing rapid, irreversible muscle paralysis.
