AGRIVENTURE DIFEN (Difenoconazole 25% EC) Fungicide
Description:
AGRIVENTURE DIFEN is a broad-spectrum, systemic triazole fungicide that provides preventive, curative, and eradicative control. It is widely used in agriculture to protect fruits, vegetables, and cereals from fungal diseases by disrupting cell membrane formation.
Technical content: Difenoconazole 25% EC
Key Features & Benefits:
- Preventive & Curative Action: Acts as a protective barrier before infections occur and acts as a curative treatment to eliminate fungi already present in the plant.
- Systemic & Translaminar Movement: Rapidly absorbed by foliage and moves both systemically (through the plant's vascular system) and translaminarly (passing from the upper to the lower leaf surface). This ensures that even unsprayed or hidden areas receive protection.
- Long-Lasting Residual Protection: Provides prolonged control, which reduces the required frequency of spray applications throughout the growing season.
- Rainfast Formulation: Quickly integrates into plant tissues, meaning its effectiveness is retained even if light rain occurs shortly after application.
- Resistance Management: Because of its unique mode of action, it is highly effective against fungal strains that may have developed resistance to older triazoles, making it an excellent tool for Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programs.
Crops suitability: Apple, Grapes, Pomegranate, Chilli, Cumin, Onion, Rice (Paddy), Groundnut
Commonly used for (Insect / Diseases):
- Apple: Apple Scab
- Grapes: Anthracnose and Powdery Mildew
- Pomegranate: Fruit Rot
- Chilli: Die-back and Fruit Rot
- Cumin: Blight and Powdery Mildew
- Onion: Purple Blotch
- Rice (Paddy): Sheath Blight
- Groundnut: Leaf Spot and Rust
Mode of entry: Systemic
Mode of action:
- Sterol Biosynthesis Inhibition (SBI): It belongs to the triazole (DMI) chemical class. It blocks the enzyme responsible for ergosterol production, which causes structural instability and the death of fungal cells.
- Systemic and Translaminar Movement: It is quickly absorbed into plant tissue. It moves upwards (acropetally) through the plant's vascular system and passes through the leaf (translaminar) to protect both the upper and lower leaf surfaces, as well as new growth.
