AGRIVENTURE CARWEN (Carbendazim 12% + Mancozeb 63% WP) Fungicide

AGRIVENTURE CARWEN (Carbendazim 12% + Mancozeb 63% WP) Fungicide

Description:

AGRIVENTURE CARWEN is a highly effective, broad-spectrum, dual-action fungicide used to control various fungal diseases in agricultural crops. It combines both systemic (Carbendazim) and contact (Mancozeb) properties, making it highly effective for both preventing and curing fungal infections.

Technical content: Carbendazim 12% + Mancozeb 63% WP

Key Features & Benefits:

  • Dual Action (Systemic & Contact): Carbendazim acts systemically by being absorbed into the plant tissues, inhibiting fungal growth from the inside. Mancozeb acts as a contact fungicide, creating a protective layer on the plant surface to prevent spore germination.
  • Preventive & Curative: It serves a dual purpose—it can be applied before disease symptoms appear to protect the crop or used to cure existing infections.
  • Broad-Spectrum Control: Highly effective against a wide range of diseases including Early and Late Blight, Powdery Mildew, Downy Mildew, Leaf Spots, Anthracnose, and Rusts.
  • Low Resistance Risk: Because it features a multi-site mode of action, the targeted fungi struggle to develop resistance against it over time.
  • Crop Compatibility: Safe and effective for a broad variety of crops, such as paddy, potatoes, chili, grapes, mangoes, and groundnuts.
  • Enhanced Crop Vigor: Often contains trace nutrients (like Zinc and Manganese) that promote overall plant health, keeping leaves greener and improving overall yield and quality.

Crops suitability: Paddy, Wheat, Cotton, Tea, Sugarcane, Groundnut, Potato, Chili, Tomato, Brinjal, Okra, Grapes, Mango, Citrus

Commonly used for (Insect / Diseases):

1. Field Crops & Cereals:

  • Paddy: Controls Blast disease and other fungal blights.
  • Wheat: Treats rust and leaf spot diseases.

2. Cash Crops:

  • Cotton, Tea & Sugarcane: Protects against blights, blister blight, and red rust.
  • Groundnut: Highly effective against Tikka leaf spot and root rots.

3. Vegetables:

  • Potato: Controls both Early and Late Blight.
  • Chili & Tomato: Treats anthracnose, dieback, and early blight.
  • Brinjal & Okra: Manages various leaf spots and mildews.

4. Fruits:

  • Grapes: Controls powdery mildew and downy mildew.
  • Mango & Citrus: Protects against anthracnose, scab, and dieback

Mode of entry:

  • Systemic (Carbendazim 12%): Absorbed rapidly through the leaves, roots, and green tissues. It travels internally within the plant's sap stream to stop fungal growth and cell division (mitosis) from the inside.
  • Contact (Mancozeb 63%): Stays on the exterior surface of the plant, forming a protective barrier that prevents fungal spores from germinating and entering the plant tissues.

Mode of action:

1. Carbendazim (12%) - Systemic Action

  • It inhibits the formation of fungal β-tubulin, which disrupts mitotic cell division (spindle formation). This stops the fungus from multiplying and cures existing infections from the inside out.

2. Mancozeb (63%) - Contact/Preventive Action

  • It interferes with multiple enzyme sites within the fungal cell cytoplasm and mitochondria, effectively inactivating them. This disrupts fungal metabolism, burning the spores upon contact and preventing new fungal infections from starting.
