AGRIVENTURE HEXAZOLE is a broad-spectrum, systemic triazole fungicide. It works by inhibiting ergosterol biosynthesis, causing the fungal cell wall to collapse.

Mode of action:

• Ergosterol Biosynthesis Inhibition: It acts as a potent sterol biosynthesis inhibitor (SBI). It specifically targets the enzyme 14α-demethylase, blocking the conversion of lanosterol into ergosterol. Ergosterol is an indispensable building block for fungal cell membranes; without it, the cell wall becomes dysfunctional and the fungus dies.
• Protective (Preventive): Creates a protective barrier on the plant surface to stop fungal spores from germinating and penetrating the tissue.
• Curative: Stops the establishment of the infection by halting fungal development even after the initial penetration.
• Eradicant & Antisporulant: Clears up existing, visible infections and stops the fungus from producing and spreading new spores.
