AGRIVENTURE IMI GOLD (Imidacloprid 30.5% SC) Insecticide
Description:
AGRIVENTURE IMI GOLD is a highly concentrated, systemic, and contact insecticide. It is widely used in agriculture to control sap-sucking pests (like aphids, thrips, and whiteflies) and in construction/home environments for termite management. It works by disrupting the insect's nervous system.
Technical content: Imidacloprid 30.5% SC
Key Features & Benefits:
- Systemic & Dual Action: Rapidly absorbed by plant tissues (roots and foliage) and translocated throughout the plant to protect new growth. It also offers contact and stomach action, ensuring both quick knockdown and internal protection.
- Long Residual Control: Stays active inside crops for 10 to 14 days after a single application, reducing the need for frequent re-sprays.
- Broad-Spectrum Pests: Highly effective against major sucking pests and hoppers, including aphids, thrips, whiteflies, jassids, and plant hoppers.
- Highly Effective on Termites: Non-repellent formulation makes it an industry-standard for pre- and post-construction anti-termite treatment in buildings. It works by exposing the colony without making them aware of the treatment barrier.
- Enhanced Formulation (SC): As a Suspension Concentrate, it mixes easily with water, provides uniform coverage on leaves, minimizes surface runoff, and offers better rain-fastness.
- Promotes Plant Health: By reducing heavy pest stress, it helps crops grow more vigorously, which ultimately improves overall yield potential.
Crops suitability: Cotton, Paddy (Rice), Sugarcane, Groundnut, Sunflower, Chilli, Tomato, Okra, Brinjal, Citrus, Mango, Grapes, Pomegranates.
Commonly used for (Insect / Diseases): Aphids, Jassids, Thrips, Whiteflies, Brown Planthopper (BPH), White-backed Planthopper (WBPH), Leaf Miners, Psylla
Mode of entry:
- Systemic Action: The chemical is absorbed by the plant’s foliage or root system and translocates upward, spreading throughout the plant. Insects feeding on any part of the plant ingest the chemical.
- Contact Action: The insecticide affects the pest upon direct physical contact, absorbing through the insect's cuticle.
- Stomach Action: When the insect ingests the treated plant sap or leaf tissue, the chemical acts as a stomach poison, shutting down their nervous system.
Mode of action:
- Nerve Signal Disruption: It acts as an antagonist to the nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChR) in the insect's nervous system.
- Receptor Blockage: It permanently blocks these postsynaptic receptors, preventing the neurotransmitter acetylcholine from transmitting signals.
- Overstimulation: This blockage leads to a buildup of acetylcholine, causing extreme excitation and uncoordinated nerve impulses.
Mode of application: Foliar spray or Soil drench
Dose: 10 - 12ml in 15-liter water
