AGRIVENTURE ETHIC CYPER (Ethion 40% + Cypermethrin 5% EC) Insecticide

AGRIVENTURE ETHIC CYPER (Ethion 40% + Cypermethrin 5% EC) Insecticide

Description:

AGRIVENTURE ETHIC CYPER is a broad-spectrum, dual-action agricultural insecticide. It combines an organophosphate (Ethion) for mite control and a synthetic pyrethroid (Cypermethrin) for fast knockdown of flying and crawling insects.

Technical content: Ethion 40% + Cypermethrin 5% EC

Key Features & Benefits:

  • Dual-Action Mode: Attacks the insect nervous system through both contact and stomach toxicity, inhibiting cholinesterase activity and causing instant paralysis.
  • Fast Knockdown & Residual Control: Cypermethrin provides a rapid knockdown effect, while Ethion ensures long-lasting, extended residual protection.
  • Broad-Spectrum Efficacy: Effectively targets a wide variety of pests, including resistant populations.

Crops suitability:

  • Cash Crops: Cotton, tea, and tobacco.
  • Vegetables: Tomato, chili, brinjal, and okra.
  • Fruits: Grapes, citrus, and mango.

Commonly used for (Insect / Diseases):

  • Bollworms & Caterpillars: American, spotted, and pink bollworms, as well as fruit-boring caterpillars.
  • Sucking Pests: Thrips, aphids, whiteflies, jassids, and mealybugs.
  • Mites: Spider mites, red mites, and other plant-damaging mite species.

Mode of entry: Contact and Stomach

Mode of action:

  • Ethion (Organophosphate): Acts as a contact and stomach poison. It inhibits the enzyme acetylcholinesterase (AChE), which disrupts the insect's nervous system and causes rapid paralysis. It also exhibits strong acaricidal (mite-killing) properties.
  • Cypermethrin (Synthetic Pyrethroid): Acts on the insect's nervous system by interfering with sodium channel function. This causes repeated nerve firing, leading to immediate hyperexcitation, a fast "knockdown" effect, and eventual death.
