AGRIVENTURE THI SILVER (Thiamethoxam 25% WG) Insecticide

AGRIVENTURE THI SILVER (Thiamethoxam 25% WG) Insecticide

Description:

AGRIVENTURE THI SILVER is a water-dispersible granule (WG) formulation of a powerful neonicotinoid systemic insecticide. It is primarily used to control a broad spectrum of sucking and chewing pests—like whiteflies, aphids, jassids, and thrips—across various crops such as cotton, rice, and vegetables.

Technical content: Thiamethoxam 25% WG

Key Features & Benefits:

  • Broad-Spectrum Pest Control: Effectively targets a wide range of destructive pests, including aphids, thrips, whiteflies, jassids, leafhoppers, and various plant hoppers.
  • Systemic & Translaminar Action: The granules are rapidly absorbed by plant roots and foliage and move systemically throughout the entire plant. It can even travel to new growth and reach hidden pests on the undersides of leaves.
  • Contact and Stomach Activity: It works both on contact and when insects ingest the treated plant matter.
  • Nervous System Disruption: It interferes with nicotinic acetylcholine receptors in the insect’s central nervous system, causing immediate feeding cessation, paralysis, and eventual death.
  • Long-Lasting Residual Protection: Provides ongoing, extended defense against pests, which ultimately reduces crop damage and improves overall yields.
  • Easy to Use and Apply: As water-dispersible granules, it dissolves easily in water, is virtually dust-free, and leaves no visible residue when applied at recommended doses.
  • Weather & Crop Safe: It is designed to be rainfast and safe for beneficial insects when utilized according to IPM (Integrated Pest Management) guidelines.

Crops suitability:

  • Field Crops: Cotton, Rice (Paddy), Wheat, Maize, Soybean, Pulses, and Mustard.
  • Vegetables: Tomato, Okra, Brinjal (Eggplant), Cabbage, Potato, Green Gram, and Cumin.
  • Fruits & Cash Crops: Mango, Citrus, Tea, and other fruit-bearing trees.

Commonly used for (Insect / Diseases): Aphids, Thrips, Whiteflies, Jassids, Leafhoppers and various Plant Hoppers

Mode of entry:

  • Contact: Absorbed directly through the insect's cuticle or tracheal system.
  • Stomach: Ingested while the insect is feeding on the treated plant.
  • Systemic Translocation: Once applied (via spray or soil drench), the active ingredient is rapidly taken up by roots and leaves and transported to all parts of the plant.

Mode of action:

  • Receptor Disruption: It mimics the neurotransmitter acetylcholine, binding strongly to the nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChRs) in the insect's central nervous system.
  • Nerve Firing: This binding triggers continuous, abnormal nerve impulses.
  • Paralysis & Death: The continuous stimulation causes irreversible hyperexcitation, convulsions, and eventual muscle paralysis, resulting in the pest's death.
  • Mode of application: Foliar Spray or Soil Drenching / Drip Irrigation
