AGRIVENTURE LAMCY (Lambda-cyhalothrin 4.9% CS) Insecticide
Description:
AGRIVENTURE LAMCY is a broad-spectrum, synthetic pyrethroid insecticide used for the rapid knockdown and long-lasting residual control of both crawling and flying insects. It acts via contact and stomach action, paralyzing the target pest's nervous system.
Technical content: Lambda-cyhalothrin 4.9% CS
Key Features & Benefits:
- Advanced Capsule Suspension (CS): The active ingredient is sealed in tiny, thin-walled capsules that suspend in water. It only releases upon drying on the target pest or leaf surface, which reduces spray losses and improves efficacy.
- Dual Action: It works through both contact and stomach action, disrupting the insect’s nervous system to cause immediate paralysis and quick death.
- Long-Lasting Residual Effect: The microencapsulation process provides prolonged residual protection, which reduces the total number of sprays required during the growing season.
- Broad-Spectrum Control: Highly effective against a variety of pests, including bollworms, stem borers, leaf folders, thrips, and fruit borers.
- Rainfastness: The hardened microcapsules adhere well to plant surfaces, providing consistent performance even after light rainfall.
- Crop Versatility: Safely and widely used across a range of crops including cotton, paddy, chilli, brinjal, tomato, and grapes.
Crops suitability: Cotton, Paddy, Chilli, Brinjal, Tomato, and Grapes.
Commonly used for (Insect / Diseases):
- Cotton: Bollworms, thrips, and jassids
- Paddy (Rice): Stem borers and leaf folders
- Vegetables (Brinjal, Okra, Tomato): Fruit borers, shoot borers, and leaf miners
- Chilli: Pod borers, thrips, and jassids
- Grapes: Thrips and flea beetles
- Soybean: Stem flies and semiloopers
- Pomegranate: Fruit borers and thrips
- Cardamom: Shoot/capsule borers and thrips
Mode of entry:
- Contact Action: The active ingredient is absorbed directly through the insect's cuticle (outer shell) upon physical contact.
- Stomach Action: The insect ingests the chemical while chewing or feeding on the sprayed plant surfaces.
Mode of action:
- Nervous System Disruption: It targets the insect's nervous system by interfering with voltage-gated sodium channels. This causes repetitive nerve firing, leading to rapid paralysis and death.
- Contact & Ingestion: The chemical kills insects either when they walk over treated surfaces or when they ingest it while feeding on the plant.
- Repellent Properties: It also acts as a repellent, which helps deter fresh pest re-infestation after application.
Mode of application: Foliar spray
Dose: 25ml in 15-liter water
Additional information:
- Formulation Advantage (CS)
- The CS (Capsule Suspension) formulation seals the active ingredient in tiny, thin-walled capsules suspended in water.
- These capsules release the insecticide gradually as the spray dries, which protects it from UV light degradation and provides prolonged residual control (up to 14–21 days).
