AGRIVENTURE FIPRO is a broad-spectrum, phenylpyrazole-class insecticide used to control sucking pests and borers. It works via contact and ingestion to paralyze insects and is highly valued for managing thrips in crops like cotton, chillies, and vegetables. It also promotes plant growth enhancement.

Mode of entry:

• Ingestion: The primary route of entry. Insects consume the chemical while feeding on the treated crop foliage.
• Contact: The chemical is absorbed directly through the insect's cuticle (outer body covering) as they crawl on the treated plant surfaces.

Mode of action:

• GABA Receptor Blockade: Fipronil selectively binds to the Gamma-Aminobutyric Acid (GABA)-regulated chloride channels in the insect's nervous system.
• Nerve Hyperexcitation: By blocking chloride ions from passing through these channels, the product stops the inhibitory action of GABA, leading to the severe hyperexcitation of nerves and muscles.
• Paralysis & Death: This excessive nerve activity causes uncoordinated movements, rapid paralysis, and eventually the death of the target pest.
