AGRIVENTURE FIPIMI (Fipronil 40% + Imidacloprid 40% WG) Insecticide

AGRIVENTURE FIPIMI (Fipronil 40% + Imidacloprid 40% WG) Insecticide

Description:

AGRIVENTURE FIPIMI is a highly effective, dual-action Water Dispersible Granule (WG) insecticide. It combines the contact/stomach action of Fipronil with the systemic activity of Imidacloprid to control a broad spectrum of chewing and sucking pests (such as white grubs, termites, aphids, and thrips) across crops like sugarcane, cotton, and groundnuts.

Technical content: Fipronil 40% + Imidacloprid 40% WG

Key Features & Benefits:

  • Dual-Action Formula: Integrates two distinct chemical classes to prevent the development of pest resistance, ensuring highly effective broad-spectrum control.
  • Systemic and Contact Activity: Provides immediate knockdown through contact while traveling systemically through the plant to reach hidden or feeding pests.
  • Long-Lasting Residual: The slow-acting residual properties offer extended protection, minimizing the need for frequent re-applications.
  • Soil Pest Eradication: Highly effective at controlling deep-rooted and soil-dwelling pests like white grubs, termites, root borers, and wireworms.
  • Foliar and Sucking Pest Control: Targets economically damaging pests such as aphids, thrips, whiteflies, jassids, and stem borers.
  • Phytotonic Effect: Often boosts overall crop health, resulting in enhanced root development, leaf greenness, and significantly improved yields.

Crops suitability:

  • Sugarcane
  • Groundnut
  • Cotton
  • Paddy / Rice
  • Vegetables & Fruits (e.g., Chilli, Citrus, Mango, Grape)

Commonly used for (Insect / Diseases):

  • Soil Pests: White grubs, termites, root borers.
  • Sucking Pests: Aphids, jassids, thrips, whiteflies.
  • Borers: Stem borers, early shoot borers.

Mode of entry:

  • Systemic: Absorbed through the roots or leaves, the chemical spreads throughout the plant's vascular system. It poisons chewing or sucking pests as they feed.
  • Contact: The insecticide also works externally on contact, acting on the insect's central nervous system when sprayed directly on them or as they crawl over treated plant surfaces.

Mode of action:

  • Fipronil: Disrupts the insect's central nervous system by blocking GABA-gated chloride channels, causing hyperexcitation, paralysis, and death.
  • Imidacloprid: Acts as a nicotinic acetylcholine receptor (nAChR) antagonist, interrupting nerve signal transmission and paralyzing the pests.

Mode of application: Soil drench or Foliar spray

Dose:

  • Sugarcane: 175 - 200 gm per acre (Soil drench).
  • Groundnut: 100 - 120 gm per acre.
  • Cotton & Paddy: 40 - 50 gm per acre.
  • Domestic/Home Garden: Generally, around 3 - 5gm mixed in 15-liter water.
  • Seed Treatment: 20 gm in 20 kg Seeds.

Additional information:

  • Highly toxic to bees: Avoid spraying during flowering or when bees are actively foraging.
  • Toxicity: Keep away from open water bodies, livestock, and children.
