AGRIVENTURE AZODIFEN (Azoxystrobin 18.2% + Difenoconazole 11.4% SC) Fungicide

AGRIVENTURE AZODIFEN (Azoxystrobin 18.2% + Difenoconazole 11.4% SC) Fungicide

Description:

AGRIVENTURE AZODIFEN is a powerful dual-systemic fungicide used to control a wide range of fungal diseases (like blights, mildews, and rust) across major crops like paddy, chili, tomato, and wheat. It provides both preventive and curative protection.

Technical content: Azoxystrobin 18.2% + Difenoconazole 11.4% SC

Key Features & Benefits:

  • Dual Systemic Action: Gets absorbed rapidly through leaves and stems, moving throughout the entire plant (translaminar and acropetal movement) to protect even unsprayed new growth.
  • Preventive & Curative: Stops new infections from establishing while effectively eliminating existing fungal presence within the crop.
  • Long-Lasting Protection: Provides extended residual control (typically 15 to 20 days), reducing the frequency of required sprays.
  • Resistance Management: The combination of two different chemical groups (FRAC codes 11 and 3) prevents fungi from easily developing resistance.
  • Improves Crop Health: Promotes a "green leaf effect", better pollen conversion into grains, and overall higher crop quality and yield.

Crops suitability: Paddy, Wheat, Maize, Chilli, Tomato, Cotton, Turmeric, Onion, and Sugarcane.

Commonly used for (Insect / Diseases):

  • Blights: Early Blight, Late Blight, Sheath Blight, and Leaf Blight.
  • Mildews: Powdery Mildew and Downy Mildew.
  • Spots: Brown Leaf Spot and Grey Leaf Spot.
  • Other Fungal Infections: Anthracnose, Rust, Blast, Die-back, and Smut.

Mode of entry:

  • Systemic: The formulation is rapidly absorbed by plant tissues (leaves and stems).
  • Translaminar: It moves through the leaf layers, ensuring protection of both the upper and lower leaf surfaces.

Mode of action:

1. Azoxystrobin (18.2%)

  • Mechanism: Respiration inhibitor. It blocks the electron transfer process in fungal mitochondria, halting the production of ATP (cellular energy).
  • Action: Primarily acts as a preventive and anti-sporulant. It stops spore germination and inhibits early fungal development before the disease can establish itself in the plant.

2. Difenoconazole (11.4%)

  • Mechanism: Sterol Biosynthesis Inhibitor (SBI) / Demethylase Inhibitor (DMI). It disrupts the creation of ergosterol, which is critical for forming and maintaining fungal cell membranes.
  • Action: Acts as a strong curative and eradicant. Once the fungus has penetrated the leaf, Difenoconazole stops the fungal mycelia from growing further and spreading within the plant tissues.
