AGRIVENTURE THILAMCY (Thiamethoxam 12.6% + Lambda-Cyhalothrin 9.5% ZC) Insecticide
Description:
AGRIVENTURE THILAMCY is a powerful dual-action insecticide that controls a wide range of sucking and chewing pests. It combines the fast-acting contact toxicity of a pyrethroid with the long-lasting systemic protection of a neonicotinoid.
Technical content: Thiamethoxam 12.6% + Lambda-Cyhalothrin 9.5% ZC
Key Features & Benefits:
- Dual Action: The systemic property absorbs into the plant to circulate and protect from the inside out, while contact/stomach action quickly kills pests on the surface.
- Quick Knockdown: Rapidly paralyzes active pests and prevents them from feeding within hours of application.
- Extended Residual Control: The ZC capsule formulation provides a slow release of active ingredients, giving 10 to 15 days of long-lasting protection.
- Broad-Spectrum Pests: Highly effective against both sucking pests (aphids, thrips, whiteflies, jassids) and chewing/boring pests (caterpillars, bollworms, shoot borers).
- Rainfastness: The formula binds firmly to the foliage, resisting wash-off from light rain or irrigation after the spray has dried.
- Disease Prevention: By targeting the primary insect vectors that spread plant viruses, it indirectly secures overall crop health and vigor.
- Resistance Management: The combination of two different chemical groups (IRAC Group 4A + 3A) effectively suppresses pests that have developed resistance to single-active products.
Crops suitability: Cotton, Chilli, Soybean, Paddy / Rice, Tomato, Maize, Tea
Commonly used for (Insect / Diseases): AGRIVENTURE THILAMCY is highly effective against a wide spectrum of sucking pests (aphids, thrips, whiteflies) and chewing/caterpillar pests across many field and vegetable crops.
Mode of entry:
- Thiamethoxam (Systemic): Absorbed by foliage and roots, it translocates throughout the plant to attack the nervous system of sucking insects (like aphids, thrips, and whiteflies).
- Lambda-cyhalothrin (Contact): Acts on contact and ingestion, delivering an instant knockdown effect against caterpillars, borers, and hoppers.
Mode of action:
1. Thiamethoxam (12.6%): Systemic & Stomach Action
- Nerve Effect: It binds to the postsynaptic nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChRs) in the insect's nervous system, causing irreversible nerve signal blockage. This leads to hyperexcitation, paralysis, and death.
2. Lambda-Cyhalothrin (9.5%): Contact & Repellent Action
- Nerve Effect: It interferes with the functioning of sodium channels in the insect's nerve cells. This causes prolonged opening of the channels, resulting in hyperexcitation, convulsions, and rapid paralysis.
Mode of application: Foliar spray
Dose: 1ml per 1-liter water or 15 ml in 15-liter water

Additional information:
- ZC Formulation: A high-tech mix of Capsule Suspension (CS) and Suspension Concentrate (SC). It slowly releases active ingredients and provides excellent rainfastness.
- Safety: It is highly toxic to fish and honeybees. Do not apply while bees are foraging or near water bodies.
- Application Window: Best sprayed during early morning or late evening. Do not spray if heavy rain is expected within 4 to 6 hours.
