AGRIVENTURE PICOX TRY (Picoxystrobin 6.78% + Tricyclazole 20.33% SC) Fungicide

AGRIVENTURE PICOX TRY (Picoxystrobin 6.78% + Tricyclazole 20.33% SC) Fungicide

Description:

AGRIVENTURE PICOX TRY is a broad-spectrum, dual-action systemic and translaminar fungicide widely used in agriculture to protect crops like rice (paddy) and chilli from devastating fungal diseases.

Technical content: Picoxystrobin 6.78% + Tricyclazole 20.33% SC

Key Features & Benefits:

  • Dual Mode of Action:
  1. Picoxystrobin blocks fungal mitochondrial respiration (stopping energy production).
  2. Tricyclazole inhibits melanin biosynthesis, preventing the fungus from penetrating plant tissues.
  • Systemic & Translaminar Movement: Quickly absorbed by plant leaves, it moves through the plant's vascular system to provide uniform protection, even to new, unsprayed growth.
  • Preventive & Curative: Stops fungal spore germination and halts the spread of existing infections.
  • Resistance Management: Combining two active ingredients with different biological targets minimizes the risk of pathogens developing chemical resistance.
  • Enhanced Plant Health: It prolongs the photosynthetic activity of the crop, keeping leaves greener (greening effect) and ultimately improving grain quality and yield.
  • Weather-Resistant: Excellent rainfastness ensures the active ingredients remain effective even shortly after application.

Crops suitability: Paddy (Rice), Chilli, Cereals, Pulses, & Vegetables

Commonly used for (Insect / Diseases):

  • Paddy (Rice): Leaf blast, Neck blast, Sheath blight, and other fungal leaf/stem spots
  • Chilli: Anthracnose, Powdery mildew, Wet rot
  • Cereals, Pulses, & Vegetables: General fungal leaf spots, blights, and mildews

Mode of entry: Systemic and Translaminar

Mode of action:

  • Picoxystrobin (6.78%): A strobilurin (QoI) fungicide that stops fungi from producing energy (ATP) by inhibiting mitochondrial respiration. It offers preventive and translaminar activity, meaning it moves through the leaf and protects new growth.
  • Tricyclazole (20.33%): A systemic fungicide that specifically inhibits melanin biosynthesis in fungal cells. This stops fungal spores from forming the infection structures needed to penetrate the plant.
