AGRIVENTURE PICOX (Picoxystrobin 22.52% SC) Fungicide
Description:
AGRIVENTURE PICOX is a broad-spectrum, systemic strobilurin fungicide formulated as a liquid suspension concentrate. It is widely used to prevent and cure major fungal diseases, while also promoting plant health and greenness.
Technical content: Picoxystrobin 22.52% SC
Key Features & Benefits:
- Broad-Spectrum Disease Control: Provides highly effective preventive and curative action against a wide variety of fungal pathogens, including rusts, powdery mildew, downy mildew, leaf spots, and blights.
- Multiple Modes of Movement: Offers systemic (moves inside plant tissues), translaminar (passes through leaves), and vapor activity. This unique vapor activity helps redistribute the chemical to protect unsprayed parts of the crop canopy.
- Enhanced Plant Health & "Greening Effect": Improves photosynthesis and delays leaf aging, which helps keep the plant canopy green and healthy during critical growth stages.
- Extended Residual Activity: Delivers long-lasting protection, ensuring that the crop remains shielded from infections for an extended period.
- Excellent Rainfastness: Rapidly adheres to and absorbs into the plant surface, maintaining its efficacy even if it rains shortly after application.
- Increased Yield & Quality: By protecting the crop from disease and boosting plant metabolism, it maximizes both the quantity and quality of the harvest.
Crops suitability: Commonly used on cereals, grapes, cumin, soybeans, rice, and various vegetables.
Commonly used for (Insect / Diseases): Highly effective against rusts, downy mildew, powdery mildew, leaf spots, blights, and rice blast.
Mode of entry:
- Systemic & Translaminar: Once applied as a foliar spray, the active ingredient moves up through the plant's vascular system and penetrates the leaf layers. This ensures complete coverage and protects new growth.
- Vapor Action: Its unique chemical properties allow it to evaporate slightly and redistribute through the air within the plant canopy, reaching the undersides of leaves and denser parts of the crop.
Mode of action:
- Preventive & Curative: It is primarily absorbed to stop fungal spore germination and mycelial growth before damage occurs, while also offering early curative action to halt existing infections.
- Biochemical Action: At the cellular level, it acts as a Quinone outside Inhibitor (QoI) that disrupts the energy production of the fungus by inhibiting mitochondrial respiration.
Mode of application: Foliar Spray
